Now I will admit that with all of the problems that our country faces my irritation with a public service ad ranks way down there in importance. BUT, is anyone else as irritated by the ad from our government called: FEED THE PIG? The purpose of this PSA is to encourage people to save some of their money. First, in an economy where people are out of work, unable to pay their home mortgage, and are on food stamps in numbers never seen before it is ridiculous to talk about saving. Second, The idea that a man running after a pig in a pink suit in order to put money in his head would encourage people, who actually have money to save is silly. Third, the way the ad's volume increases from regular programing is not only irritating, but against FCC regulation. But then we're talking about the Federal Government which hasn't paid much attention to laws for quite some time, has it? So for me, this is a complete waste of tax payers money and should be canceled because I doubt that it accomplishes it's goal, and is irritating and just plain stupid!

wow...are we on the same page or what? I complain about that ad every time it comes on. I keep telling Belinda that it must have been created by a team of liberals. The man doesn't mind endangering everyone around him so HE can put money in his savings account. He hitches a ride from other people. He doesn't mind running through a restaurant and sliding over people's tables....in other words, the whole world is about him.

Another PSA that irritates me is the one about asthma. They have a fish flopping around (I'm surprised PETA hasn't gotten into the act) as an example of how a child feels during an asthma attack. And then people are told to contact medical help to prevent these attacks. Does the government really think that people are so dumb that they have to be told to seek medical help when their child can't breathe? Well maybe they have a point. After all people who could clearly see that Obama's first four years were a disaster to the country came together to reelect him.

Agreed, Chris; that fish commercial sucks, and it's been run hundreds of times, like everyone is too stupid to remember something that basic.

What really ticks me off is that WE (the U.S. tax payers) pay for these ads. I can't imagine that the idiots who came up with these ads would ever be hired by a real ad agency such as the one for Fed Ex where a woman is sitting outside a Fed Ex store. She's saying that she knows that to be first one has to "camp" outside all night. (She's the only one there) The employee is saying, But you know we've been open all night? Woman: Is this a trick to get my place in line? It's quite droll and clever. I chuckle every time I see it. As opposed to the Public Service Ad which drives me up the wall.

On the subject of unimportant but irritating things...Hillary Clinton's hair. This woman is a representative of the U.S. government and she can't fix her hair? She looks awful most of the time. She laughs about it and says that she doesn't travel with a hair dresser and has no talent herself. Well, old girl, my advice is: First cut the hair. You can't go back to college and what suited you then does NOT look good now. Second: Start traveling with a hair dresser. Our government wastes money on all sorts of things. I'd consider it a good investment for U.S. prestige around the world. Perhaps you could get a personal assistant who also does hair. Or buy a wig. A slicked back pony tail on the Secretary of State just doesn't cut it!
