Still not it. The one I saw had the girl and part of the boardwalk finished, and the rest was pencil lines.

Wow Tommy, very impressive! I have always wanted to paint, but I can barely draw a stick person. Wish I had the wall space, I'd have one hanging on every wall!

That's it. The dress is completely done but the rest is still sketchy. Great contrast.

Tommy, since it is the season of giving I have just about given out for the moment. I definitely am interested in your paintings and would like to purchase one after the holidays if possible. You do beautiful work from what I can see on the forum. Have you ever done any lighthouses?

Duke, I did do a lighthouse scene a long time ago but I don't have any pictures of it. I've always been on the lookout for a good lighthouse scene to paint...Belinda likes them too. I like doing seascapes. Here's a simple one that was sold a long time ago about the same time I did the lighthouse. Attachments:

here's an update on the still life I've been working on. I had to take the photo from an extreme angle to keep the wet paint from adding too many specs of light. At this extreme angle some of the proportions look odd. Also, the paint is till too wet on the metal bowl to complete the highlights and the glass is just roughed in at this time. All I can say about this painting is that I am amazed myself...and that's not normal. Tommy Attachments:

the painting is just about complete. As soon as it dries a little more I'll be adding some more highlight....Tommy Attachments:

Tommy,
I am very envious of anyone with the talent to paint. I would love to be able to create beautiful pictures like yours. I would love to have all of your paintings posted throughout my home. Maybe at some point I will be able to afford. I may even start putting some money aside to purchase. Tommy keep up the good work and I want you to know the paintings are excellent.

thanks Tammy, I've decided, after a discussion with Belinda of course, to drop the price on all the paintings on page one. (I made the changes there)
I plan to do a lot more paintings and need to purchase more canvases and paints. I am also considering getting prints made of the still life so that I can offer them out at a more reasonable price. The value of a painting is so subjective....sometimes it's as much about hype as it is about talent. When I compare my still life to others of that caliber, the prices range anywhere from $800 to $6,000 or even more. Maybe some day I can get into the "even more" category....LOL Right now exposure is more important than price. Tommy

Tommy,
I do plan on purchasing one of your paintings.
If you do plan on teaching a painting class please let me know.
Excellent work!

Tommy has a real grasp of color and texture. Notice the white haze on those grapes, and the reflection of the pomegranite on the bowl. You do good, sir.
