One way or another this Administration and it's chief officer, President Obama, is going to stick it to the American people. The health care bill WILL pass into law even if it's a watered down bill. And if the American public doesn't like it....TOO BAD! If Cap & Trade won't make it thru Congress then the EPA will do the dirty work. All in the name of cleaning up the planet, you understand. What's behind the curtain? Oh, you mean the 10 billion check to underdeveloped countries to help them go "green"? Let's see, we'll send a billion here and a billion there. Like to countries such as China, India, Africa, South America, etc etc. all while we struggle to put people to work and clean up our financial mess. It used to be that when a President signed a treaty the Senate had to ratify it. Obama has found a way around that. Just get the EPA to say that CO2 is DANGEROUS. Then they will regulate it. To paraphrase Shakespeare, will no one vote out this troublesome priest? You've got to give the devil his due. The man has caused more chaos than any 5 past presidents.

Last night, on 60 Minutes, President Obama, once again, blamed President Bush for his troubles. His comments about "us", meaning Bush, going in and "...kicking some tail" as if we thought we would be able to easily win a difficult war, as if President Bush had a cavalier attitude towards putting our fighting men and women in harms was, IMO, VERY disrespectful toward the man who proceeded him. I didn't always agree with Mr. Bush, but I NEVER thought that he took the lives of our service men and women lightly. After all, he, unlike Obama served in the military. He put his life on the line when he took his airplane up on training missions. Just when has Obama risked his life for his country? All he does is "trash" his country in speeches around the world. Now today he's going to meet with bankers to try to get them to loosen up the lending of money. EXCUSE ME?? Isn't this how we got into this financial mess? Barney Frank et all, had money so loose that we ended up in a recession because people spent that which they didn't have and could never repay. This man is SUCH a Socialist that he doesn't get our system of finances. If I could, I would tell him, to his face, that he needs to go back to those prestigious halls of ivy and take some classes in the difference between a socialist government and one that depends on Capitalism. 2012 can't come soon enough. Then we can all go and vote him out of office, and HOPEFULLY get someone in the White House with some common sense; someone who actually loves this country.

He just trying to cover himself and to do that he's trying to baffle the American public and changing his position on everything.
Do you remember the lyrics to the song "Undecided Now"? They went like this, "First you say you do and then you don't. Then you say you will and then you won't. You're undecided now, so what are you gonna do? Now you wanna play, and then it's no, and when you say you'll stay, that's when you go"
Well that's Obama and his "baffle them" style.

I got this letter from a friend:
Pastor's wife's letter How's this for apocalyptic literature.. This was written by a pastor's wife in biblical prose as a commentary of current events. It is Brilliant. ~~~~~~~~~~
And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as "The One".
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you. My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence, for I shall save you with Hope and Change.” Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed." And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had promised that it was good; and they believed. And "The One" said "We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!"
Then He said, "We are going to tax the rich fat-cats." And the people said "Sock it to them!" "And redistribute their wealth." And the people said, "Show us the money!" And then He said, "Redistribution of wealth is good for everybody" And Joe the plumber asked, "Are you kidding me? You're going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??" And "The One" ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized. One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And she was banished from the kingdom!
Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with radical terrorists?" And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes.." So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed. And He said, "I shall mandate employer- funded health care for EVERY worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics."&nbs p; And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with ACORN and your troubles are over!"
Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care and Bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..." And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl.. And more of the people were without a means of support.
Then "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him, "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more..." And the people said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon "The One" and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built. And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.
You may think this is a fairy tale, but it's not. It's happening RIGHT NOW!!!

If y'all remember, Ronald Reagan came into office with a recession too. Unlike Obama he didn't scream and run around saying everything was an emergency. He got some tax cuts passed to encourage business and individual spending. Used the much made fun of, trickle down economics, and basically trusted the American people and our form of government to bring us out of the recession. He let Capitalism work it's magic and we came out of the recession all in one piece. Some businesses failed and others took up the slack. That's how it goes. There were no TOO BIG TO FAIL companies. That's the big difference between then and now. Reagan loved, and trusted his country and countrymen. Obama does not!

It really irks me that the Democraps have long slandered the fact that Republicans tend to favor large business, and then they turn around and bail them out, far in excess of anything a Republican would ever attempt. Had the GOP did something like this, the Craps would be screaming their lungs out.

Well, Obama is at it again. He's playing "chicken little" up on the hill saying that if Congress doesn't pass this health care bill our insurance rates will double, Medicare will go broke, and PEOPLE WILL DIE! And this is the administration that accused Fox news of using scare tactics?! BTW, do y'all remember the famous speech about unemployment was going to be larger than 8% if the bail out money wasn't approved? Does this man really expect thinking folks to take him seriously? But then, I guess he's counting on the nonthinking folks.....and lord knows we've got loads of them!

He's probably right Chris, he has loads nonthinking folks out there that voted for him. He's confident that he can scare them.

The wrangling over the health care bill goes on and on. The bill as it now stands, and as we can understand it, since it's not been read on the floor, is a much weakened bill. HOWEVER, it still contains the provision that people MUST buy health care insurance. While this may be a practical way of getting a broader base it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Nowhere in the Constitution does it give the federal government the power to force citizens of the U.S. to buy anything. If Obama et al had just been a little more pragmatic they would have written a bill that took a solid, but small step in the direction of helping people afford their medical insurance. They could have mandated that insurance companies be allowed to sell across state borders (and BTW, that would be allowed under our constitution because regulating interstate commerce was one of the original things the federal government was formed to do) and also allowed people to take their insurance with them when changing jobs. This would have helped people with the very expensive cost of health care, and it would have made the Democraps look like heroes. Instead they look just like their logo.

I would be all in favor of NOT requiring anyone to buy insurance, but only as long as those people agree to NOT accept free ER medical care. If they want that benefit they should pay for it like everybody else.
Emergency room care is not a constitutional right. We should have three choices: Have insurance, pay for care out of pocket, or do without.

I'll go along with that Jerry. I too believe that people should pay up or shut up. But the problem is that we either obey the Constitution or change it. It hasn't, as of yet, been changed.....only ignored.
