Looks like the UN passed a climate (!) bill, despite a bad week of publicity, overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary, major countries (China and India) declaring they were taking their ball and going home, etc etc
Me and the missus were talking last night (remarkable, I know) and I commented that it seems incredible to me that no one has the courage of their convictions to stand in the way of this madness--remember the Chinese student who stood in the way of the tanks, in Tianemen Square? We need his equivalent today, a patriot, if you will, to stand up and risk political suicide, and say enough is enough.
Drudge report this morning says Nebraska's Ben Nelson may be on board with the health bill--some major pork money thrown his way, I suppose. He may be number 60, and guaranteeing the filibuster proof passage of a stinker of a bill that will cripple the medical industry in this country, and dumb us down to the levels of medicine in the UK and elsewhere. I guess I held out hope that he, or Leiberman, or someone, would have the courage to say--I won't be the one to let this monstrosity go through--I'll even turn down money for my own state, for the greater good of the citizen's of this country.
I am not too good on my Bible stories, but it seems to me that someone argued with God about the destroying of a city (Sodom?) and asked God if he would destroy the city of he could find 100 righteous men there, and then cut the number to ten, and then to one. We need to find that one righteous Democrat.
