Don't just tell all of us how disgusted you are with the health care bill. Call, write, e-mail, or fax your representatives in Congress. It doesn't matter if they are in your district or not. They are supposed to represent all Americans And they have failed with this sham of a health care bill. No thinking person can honestly believe that this is good for America. It will cost a fortune and fail in it's objective. So get busy folks. Do your part. And if we fail, then at least we don't have to feel guilty. I've e-mailed and faxed so many of those idiots I've lost count. I know that they won't read my communication but it will at least go into the pile that says that the people of the U.S. are pissed!

Add Clair McCaskill (senator from Mo.) to the list of people I've e-mailed. I'm e-mailing every person who goes on T.V. and tries to tell the American people that this is a good bill. It only takes a minute. Politicians are VERY afraid of negative feelings. They want to be loved....THEY WANT TO BE REELECTED! Let them know how you feel. Let them know that you are angry and don't believe their B.S. In the words of Churchill, "Never, never, never, never, give up!"

Actually the writing in by constituents is taking a toll on the polititians. I've read a lot of return letters and emails from Senators and Congressmen where it was obvious that at least someone read their letters. And like you said, at least these letters are counted and put into certain piles most of the time.

Tommy, a full on revolt (legal of course. No guns no matter how much you'd like to shoot them) by the people is the only thing that is going to stop these idiots. Firing them at the ballot box is the ONLY thing they understand. And when we get the new batch in there we should make it clear that we want A. Term Limits (I suggest 1 term for senators, 6 yrs. 3 terms for the house which is 6 yrs.) B. Only a VERY small retirement pay. And they must serve their whole term to get it. C. No special health care insurance. They get what we get. D. Social Security like the rest of us. E. Bills may only be about 1 subject. No attachments & pork And that's just the start of meaningful reforms that will HELP the American people, not HURT them! And if the new bunch won't pass those things then fire them! Get it into their heads that they work for US, not the other way around. Getting sent to Washington should be about service to America; not about getting rich and powerful. And if it is not, then shame on us for not making it that way!

Chris the rules you suggest make perfect good sense, which is why they will never come to pass. Under such conditions the machine would break down entirely.

It seems as if some of the States' Attorneys General are looking into the buying of Senate votes on the Health Care Bill, especially Nebraska's deal. They all think it is unconstitutional and are trying to come up with the best way to challenge this in the courts. I hope they go through with their investigations into the constitutionality of the way this bill was passed in the Senate. They could probably find a lot of crooked arm twisting in the House too. BTW, our own Troy King is one of the A.G. looking into it.
