As he does so often, Obama issued an executive order (in the dead of night) unfreezing the pay of certain government employees. The Vice President will see his pay go from $225,521 to $231,900. The Supreme Court judges also get a raise. AND, Congress gets a raise. Most people get 1/2 of 1 percent which isn't much individually. But collectively it is. And the big question is; WHY When the average person is bracing for a tax increase, why should anyone in the government get a raise? Because they've done such a good job? Oh, BTW I saw my Social Security check was increased. Sorry to say what is taken out for Medicare was also increased. So I'm actually getting less now than before. Anyone else see something wrong in this formula?

Anyone else see something wrong in this formula? Nope! Think like the government and it all makes perfect sense! We haven't had a raise at work for least 4 years now. Our health cost contributions have gone up each year during that timeframe, so we have taken a cut in pay. Our CEO has gotten millions in dollars each of those years for all of her hard work to keep the company going. BTW, she is friends with Obama! Sound familiar?

The people on the East coast who were hit by the hurricane are still waiting for their government flood insurance to send them money. A bill was introduced in the Senate to provide millions of dollars. First of all, I thought the house had to introduce revenue bills. Am I wrong in that? Second, this bill contained so much " pork" that had NOTHING to do with flood relief that many of our crooked politicians backed away from it as fast as they could. Even they couldn't stomach the corruption. The House is supposedly going to reintroduce parts of the bill and vote on that. Keep tuned to see just how much of a scam of the taxpayers money it will be. Also, I am curious to see if the Speaker will be replaced.
