Planned Parenthood has received over 540 million dollars of tax payers money. This bugs me because I'm not for abortions on demand as a way of birth control. I just don't think it's anything but murder. But even if you believe that a woman should be able to get an abortion for whatever reason she wishes, do you want to pay for it? Look, no one gets pregnant unless she's had sex. And I do think there is a place for the morning after pill for women who have been raped. But WAY too many women are using abortion as a birth control method. With so many methods of birth control, including just saying, NO! Outside of rape and really being necessary to save the mother's life; not nonsense such as the woman's mental health will suffer if she doesn't have an abortion, I find abortion just a selfish way of getting out of the responsibility of one's actions. What say you peanut gallery?

Chris, my biggest problem is when they wait till the last minute to have the abortion. I've heard stories where the baby is aborted and still alive and breathing outside the womb and left to die. And cases where the bones are broken to get the baby out. Just sickens me.
There are so many people wanting babies and can't have them and so willing to adopt.
So very sad indeed!

my sister used to run the Catholic pro-life office in Homewood. She used to send me pictures that were extremely disturbing. As for abortion, I can understand and don't have a bad problem if it's done within the first trimester. However, after that I think it's just too late.

I agree with Tommy on this one, but how do we draw an exact line between keep/don't keep, since in many cases it's debatable exactly when conception happened. One thing for sure; you can bet the ones hollering loudest about abortion are practically never seen in the adoption line.

I have forgotten who it was that said, all of the ones crying FOR abortion had already been born. Seems as if the ones being killed should have a say. I lost 2 babies (miscarriages) and while I don't feel guilty about it, I do still feel sad. And I wonder just what those little ones would have become. I think if I had DELIBERATELY killed those babies I would be a mental mess today. It's not just for the babies that I think abortion is so wrong; it's also for the women who just don't really think about what they are doing. But later in life they may REALLY regret it. If you are a normal human being, taking a life is a hard thing to do. If it is your own child; well I just can't imagine how I'd live with that. My son was telling me about one of the male nurses he works with. They were talking about abortions and his friend got very upset. Seems as if a girl he was dating when he was young, aborted their baby. The man is married (different woman) with 2 children today but, he said that he still feels a great deal of guilt about not talking his girlfriend into having the baby and taking it himself to raise. Thinking about it, all in all abortion doesn't do much for anyone.

Anyone who thinks an 'early abortion' is ok should see an early sonogram. Seeing that tiny human with a beating heart would surely make you change your mind.

Alabama, in a round about legal case, has confirmed that a fetus has personhood at conception, and therefore in other cases the rule of abortion can be legally challenged. Good for Alabama!
