The hypocrisy of the Obama Administration is off the charts. Our, so called, President wants to do everything he can to make the cuts hurt. I just loved the closing of the W.H. to tours because they had to cut the guides. Sorry, another lie. Except for guards, who would be there anyway, the tours are self guided. You grab a little tape recorder in the language of your choice and off you go....no guide. So just who are they cutting?

and then there was Janet Napaliano saying that the lines at the airports were twice as slow as usual because of sequestration. That turned out to be an out and out lie.

Last night's news revealed that the TSA will once again be allowing passengers to board with pocketknives. I mean, why are they there anyway? The 911 deeds were done with box cutters.
And what about the $250m that's going to Egypt? I'm sure that would help guide a lot of tours and keep the National Parks staffed for a while.

People try to tell me that foreign aide is important in order to keep influence in foreign countries. If that is so, are we not just bribing governments to do as we wish? I don't think such a thing is honorable or very effective. When we give money to countries who are our friends anyway (Israel) they can use it to help protect, defend and assist their citizens. When we give it to countries such as Egypt, it just goes into the pockets of the corrupt who don't do what we wish despite their Swiss bank accounts bursting with American dollars. I know that my opinion won't change a thing, but I very definitely get angry over tax dollars going to people who will use it to finance a cushy lifestyle, or even worse, to buy weapons to turn against us.
It used to be said that we give foreign aide so that Russia and China won't do so. If that is the case, I say let 'em. Let those countries try to buy loyalty by emptying out their treasuries. It hasn't worked for us and I doubt that it would work for them.
