Two famous women, Annette Funicello and Maggie Thatcher died recently. Certain Annette wasn't in politics. But she was very loved by the American public for her "clean" image. She didn't need to appear nude in movies or disgrace herself in public. She bore her illness with courage and grace. She could have asked people to feel sorry for her, but she never did that. And that must have been difficult for a beautiful women who had so much promise for a wonderful career. And Maggie Thatcher. My goodness what an example of what one person can do. She overcame both her sex and her position. She was poor and raised in a cold water flat. I'm sure no one ever thought she would become the first female prime minister of her country, or that she would turn that country around. But she refused to believe that she couldn't do something; so she did it. Both women are shinning examples of how to live life with grace and courage.
