We see the Senate trying to pass laws that clearly are unconstitutional. (gun control, a.k.a. people control) Under the guise that the Constitution changes with the times because it is a living, breathing document, this group of people is trying to change that document without using the legal means that it gives us to legally change it.
I have a question for them. When Y'all were sworn in to office is it not correct that you stood up before the people of this country and God (if you believe in Him) and gave your solemn word that you would protect, preserve, and defend a document you believe hasn't any permanent relevance? If it is not the supreme and permanent law of the land, then from where do you derive your power to do anything?
If Congress thinks it has the power to change something without using the legal means provided to change it, then what keeps the rest of us from doing the same thing? What Congress wishes to establish is called, ANARCHY.
Without a supreme and permanent law of the land we descend into a place where MIGHT MAKES RIGHT. We become little kingdoms trying to defend our small place on the planet. The whole of the U.S. falls apart and life as we all have known it (including members of Congress) ceases to exist.
Why do we have such idiots in Congress? Because we have idiots electing them.
