As stated before, I'm trying to point out some good things that are happening along with cretching about the bad. Only trouble is that I'm having a hard time finding good things in the news or on the Internet.
I guess one nice thing is what Eden Elementary does for its students. They have a very active PTA that has many clever ways to collect money for student activities. It may get a bit tiresome hearing that your child should bring a dollar the next day to purchase a snow cone etc. But it does the job. Yesterday my Grandson participated in Stay & Play. It's an after school activity where kids can play with their school mates. Since many of the children never see their friends outside of school, this gives them an opportunity to play with them. Also they can win cute things. Kyle came home with a plush spider. Just the thing to scare a younger sister with. Only trouble was....she loved it. LOL
As far the bad news....too much of it. But two things that Congress is trying to do that really leave me smoking mad. One, they are trying to exempt themselves and others in government employment from Obama Care. We told the stupid bas---ds that we didn't want the darn thing. But they ignored us and please the Liar-In-Chief instead. Now that it's quite evident that the blasted thing is completely unworkable they are running as fast as they can. And second, this STUPID idea about taxing things purchased on the Internet. As it stands, most things are shipped for a fee. So people already have to add that. If they have to pay a tax they just may decide that they didn't need the thing in the first place. Not a way to spur the economy on is it. Also, how is one to know what amount of tax to pay when cities, counties, and states tax at different rates? And what about foreign purchases on line? Who do we send that tax to, a FOREIGN country? And if we don't, who gets it?
Really a silly, stupid idea Congress. But then y'all excel in that don't you!
