Boy howdy, Tommy. That was a classic stall, wasn't it? He was recovering correctly.....just ran out of altitude. Question is, why was he climbing at such a steep attitude in the first place?

Tommy and Chris, I got that in my email also. People talked about the load shifting to the rear, etc. Is it possible it was tail heavy in the beginning and the reason the nose pitched up like that?

It is possible, but not probable. This guy, from what I have been able to gather, was a military pilot at one time. Perhaps he was showing his co-pilot a max efford, wartime take off, and that's why he had the nose up so high. When all of the "black boxes" (that are actually orange) are examined we'll know more. The NTSB has a website that I haven't been on in a long time, so I don't have the address for you. I'm sure it can be found. It will take them awhile to put out their report but it should eventually shed some light on the accident.

Maybe an elevator servo just crapped out while in a bad position.
