Lee Iacocca has a new book called, WHERE HAVE ALL THE LEADERS GONE. I think it will make for some interesting reading. Here is a short excerpt:
Only a few people in the US know you elected an illegal alien to be President! A Muslim at that! And he jumped right in destroying the US from the inside. Osama bin Laden is smiling from ear to ear because he is winning the war on terror and you helped by voting his man in as President!
He's not just slamming Obama but Congress, and the leaders of industry as well as challenging each and every one of us to stand up and start raising a fuss.

Wow. I looked into this online and found that Iacocca did in fact write the book in question, but it was published in April 2007. Somebody has been sending this email around and adding Obammy's name in it.
His book is very critical of the government leaders, but he was also specifically going after GWB. Unfortunately, it sounds like good ole Lee is more of a Lib.

I did see that. There is also a revised edition for here and now. But I think the main point is valid. Where HAVE all the leaders of traditional American values gone? We desperately need strong leadership with some good ideas and they don't seem to be around.

They could care less how it impacts the constituents they serve.

There are some very good local leaders, but they stay local. They don't want the jobs in Montgomery or Washington for the same reasons we don't want them. It's a different (corrupt) culture and FAR too much BS to deal with. I honestly don't have a clue how you would even begin to fix what's wrong with our system.
The only folks that tend to go to DC are the ones that are in it for themselves, not in it for us.
