BTW, thanks Tommy for cleaning up my mess. Also, if you type in: Pictures Of Dubai Hotels In Google you'll see even more of the awesome hotel pictures. I don't know who designed and engineered these building but they surely should get some awards. Los Vegas, eat your heart out. Shame they don't have any money left to run them. ;D

You've got to admit that if it wasn't for the politics of the region that Dubai would be a fun place to visit. It's sort of an Alice in Wonderland place.

Those sheiks are like super-rich Arabic Elvis Presleys. Anyone who has toured Graceland will know what I mean.

Ostentation is their middle name, that's for sure. But it's fun to observe, if not live that life style. Personally, I'd go nuts living in some of those places full time. But, it is fun to see them. If you Google some of the airplanes they fly in you'll be amazed. Gold faucets in the lavatories and mink throws on beds? Absolutely unnecessary....but fun to see.

One way to justify ostentation is that it creates jobs. Somebody must create, build, manage, operate and service all that finery. Money should be shared, not kept hidden in Swiss accounts.
