Elaine, I heard Martha Stewart is like that! As soon as the lights go out, tiny little horns stick up out of her head. To me, a golf club to the side of the head is applicable here also!

years ago the woman across the street had a local man up there every day. Most of the block knew about it. No news, no press, no TV. Whats the difference. I think the news and anyone really interested in Woods playing need to get a life. Who cares? Its his business. If the news spent as much time on important issues maybe we would not be in the fix this country is in.

very good point Habiff....If they spent as much time on the Tiger Woods story on the ACORN story we might get some stuff fixed. Tommy

Tommy, I think they will back off ACORN and think that America will forget what they did. What needs to happen is that ACORN need to be prosecuted and closed down.

I agree there has been too much news on Tiger. He has kept neutral on his political beliefs which I respect him for. It would serve in his best interests if he announced he was a liberal and worshiped the ground Obama walked on. The news coverage would stop immediately and if there was anything said, it would be how her good looks and body drove him to look for something less outside his marriage and fatherhood! ;D I wonder if he beat his wife both physically and emotionally like my now dead brother in law did to my sister, if people would stand in line to watch him play? Let's face it, he is the first billion dollar athlete. Wasn't too many years ago Reggie Jackson was the first million dollar athlete. Outside his talent, Tiger owes all he's got financially from the public. The advertisers and sponsors depend on us to feed the money to Tiger. Like a politician, Tiger is the best money can buy!!!

Since when are athletes and other entertainers supposed to be godlike and ideal anyway? They're people, like the rest of us.

I'm really getting much more news about the Tiger than I really want. But since it's out there anyway I guess it's fair game. This morning at 2:30 AM (one would think EST since it happened in FL) A blond woman was taken out of the Woods' house by paramedics and taken to the same hospital that Tiger was taken to the night of his accident. Who she is and how she is nobody knows. I'm sure that will come out later. Tiger's wife, meanwhile, is reported to have moved out of their house into another mansion down the road with her Mother who came to the U.S. to be with her daughter. Mrs. Woods is reported to have bought a mansion back in her homeland. Is she going to leave? And will she be able to take the children if she does? The present count of extra women in Tiger's life is now 11. This young man just didn't know when to zip it, did he? Oh, one more thing that was reported is that apparently Tiger was in much worse shape than originally reported on the night of his "accident". The neighbor who reported that he was asleep and snoring at the scene was a little off. His airway was obstructed and he had to be intubated and put into ICU at the hospital. All this caused by??? It was reported that he was on Rx meds and booze. Ambien was one of the drugs. It's a sleeping pill that can have the side effect of making people a little nutso. Are there no people who can handle fame & fortune without going off the deep end?

I think the difficult part of all this is to find out he isn't that much different than other athletes who find themselves on the wrong side of the public's respect. Yes it is a personal issue, but because he appeared so clean cut and no rumors were really out there about him, it surprised many of us to hear about his indiscretions. It will be interesting to see how he handles all this when he gets back on the course.

The first time I heard of someone doing something nutsy and blaming it on ambien I laughed and thought what a lame excuse. At some point with my insomnia I had a prescription of ambien. They tell you to take it and get into bed right away. Of course I didn't do that! Marlin started telling me these stories of my strange behavior and I didn't believe him. I also started getting packages in the mail. I had been going on ebay and buying things with NO RECOLLECTION WHATSOEVER of ever bidding or paying. Needless to say I didn't get any more ambien. I can attest to the fact that you can get some sort of amnesia! I'm certainly not defending Tiger, I am addressing ambien. It was scary!
