It was hot this summer and my dogs spent a lot of it under the house. They know where it's cool. Unfortunately, I had to put Moose down this summer. He was 18 years old. Couldn't see well, couldn't hear worth a flip. But he had stopped eating and could not stand. It was hard, but the right thing to do. My vet sent out one of the girls who gently put him to sleep at his home. It's hard to remember that's he's not in his bed. He was my companion for a long time and I miss him. However, I've got 10 other critters to give me puppy kisses and just be glad to have me with them. What great companions dogs are. I'm never without a furry head wanting to be pet. And of course they help with the feeding of the equines. I don't know what I'd do without them.....probably get done a lot faster if I didn't have to fall over them. Hope all of your critters survived the hot summer in good condition. Happy Fall to all of God's creatures. Before we know it, it will be Halloween
