Harry Reid is determined to ram through a health care bill before next year. I believe that is because he knows that a lot of Democrats are going to lose their seats. He may even lose his if the voters of Nevada have any sense. Moderate Democrats, and just plain Democrats who are scared are balking at voting this through. Some honestly don't think it's the right bill. And some are just afraid that their voters will fire them come election time. The President is going up to the Hill to twist some arms tomorrow. We will see if he succeeds. I hope he falls flat on his face because this is a bill we can't afford to pay. It will raise the cost of health care and lower the standards. Think not? Then look at the survival rates in other countries. And remember, they are not as large as the U.S., and they can't make socialized medicine work.

I will be surpised if his strong arm tactics work with most Republicans, a major part of the Independents and a good many Democrats.

Chris, I don't think he had a warm reception with his jobs tour this week either.

Why should he when he's adding to the riches of the big corporations & banks even more so than Bush did. If he truly wanted to get jobs going he'd support small businesses. But you don't see much of that by this administration. In fact you don't see much of anything that smacks of common sense by this administration. And people think he's just not getting it? He's getting it. It's just that his agenda is a lot different than most Americans. He is a Socialist, plain and simple. But for a man who is supposed to be this big, intellectual, professor he's missing the boat. What Socialist country has really been successful? He may be a Constitutional lawyer (I really doubt that) but he's sure no history scholar.

What Socialist country has really been successful? . Being successful is not the plan. It's only necessary that the right people grab enough golden eggs before the goose dies of exhaustion.

I hope we can oust Reid! BUT, he has a huge campaign chest full of money. He has been running spots on the radio and TV for sometime now how he as saved our state from the recession and all. Those that are informed just laugh. ACORN will be active once again to get him reelected.

It's a shame someone out there doesn't have the money to run ads linking him to ACORN and the prostitutes that they support. Of course I have a hard time imagining that even a girl for pay would want to be associated with Reid. I feel sorry for Mrs. Reid. He looks like the kind of insipid guy who has leather and lace fantasies. Maybe he could be the lace and Nancy Polosi could be the leather. ;D (I'm so bad!)
