It was a rough night. I woke up at around 11:30 and couldn't go back to sleep because my weather alarm radio kept going off. I finally laid back down around 3:00 AM. The wind was shaking my Christmas Wreath on the front door so hard I thought it would blow away. I hope everyone is safe and no harm done.

No power here all night, until about 0500. 3 1/4" in the rain gauge. I slept in my clothes so I could run for the hidey hole. Actually, I SORTA slept.

It was very, very windy. David was scared. Even tho Tuscaloosa County had tornado warnings we didn't leave because we were tracking the storms and they were north of us. Did anyone see the huge 50-60 foot waves in Hawaii? Some crazy surfers! One good thing, since it is going to be so cold tonight, there were lots of sticks and branches to pick up in the yard. We are definitely building a fire tonight!

Sometimes it is neat being off grid. You look outside and there are no lights around, but you still have normal conditions. Had to stay up most of the night as my daughter had an operation and is in bed in a single wide with two of her boys. Had to stay alert to go get her of it was getting bad here. Most of it stayed north of us.

On my side of Odenville just over two inches of rain and wind peaked at 21 mph. I'm kinda in a bottom that is sheltered. Still had lots of broken limbs to pick up....Looks like most of the bad weather went up the I-59 area....
